C-MAC amateurs go 1-2 in Wales

C-MAC had three amateur fighters compete at Adrenalin Fight Night in Wales on Saturday night and it was a mixed night for the North Dublin based club.

Results:

Alex O'Sullivan won the featherweight title with a third round TKO win over Brian Evans.

Ross Quearney lost to Ben Miles via unanimous decision.

Paul O'Brien lost to Will Davies, exact result TBC.

It is worth noting that these fights were contested under unified rules, a rule-set that has recently been replaced in the Republic of Ireland by the IMMAA in favor of the IMMAF rules. These rules include same day weigh-ins, no knees to the head, rashguards and shinpads.

The IMMAA have declared that they will not support any Irish show supporting the unified rules and have stated that no IMMAA registered club will provide any fighters for such a show.

However with C-MAC's involvement with Adrenalin Fight Night on Saturday night it seems that amateur Irish fighters who are a member of an IMMAA registered club are allowed compete in unified rules outside of Ireland.

SBG pro fighter Charlie Ward was also in action at Adrenalin Fight Night where he won via decision in the co-main event (read here).
