Four Fighters make it to the finals of the World Championships

Day 4 of the world championships saw four Irish MMA fighters make it to the finals of their respective weight divisions.

Dave Fogarty and Matthew Sheehan both scored unanimous decision wins, Leah McCourt secured a first round submission, and Nathan Kelly (pictured above) beat teammate Eoghan Drumgoole in an all-Irish semi final.

There was some major disappointment as fan favourite Cian Cowley had to pull out due to an injury suffered in the previous rounds.

This means that Cowley along with Eoghan Drumgoole, Hughie O'Rourke and Scott Trelford all earn bronze medals for the magnificent effort this week in Vegas.

The finals take place tomorrow.

Here are the results from the semi finals:

FlyW- David Fogerty (ROI) def. Fahad Abdulrazaq (BHR) via unanimous decision.

FW- Leah McCourt (NI) def. Taryn Conklin (USA) via submission, rd 1.

FW- Nathan Kelly (ROI) def. Eoghan Drumgoole (ROI) via submission, rd 1.
