Hearn to Malignaggi: "Didn't McGregor drop you in sparring?"

Eddie Hearn said he would like to promote a boxing match between Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi.

The pair infamously fell out when the boxer was brought in to help the Irishman prepare for Floyd Mayweather.

That collaboration was all too brief as Malignaggi left the camp soon after in a well publicised beef.

SBG's James Gallagher is set to compete in a charity boxing match at Cage Legacy 10 in Dublin on December 1st.

The Bellator MMA star will be facing promising young amateur boxer Will Hamill.

"I’m training for this as I would a normal fight, if not, even harder, as a lot of people will be there to watch this fight as James is very well known in this game," said Hamill.

"My thoughts on James are all good. He’s an inspiration to me and to many young fighters like myself, as I’m only 15. I have followed his fights for the last few years and really look up to him."

It is a massive opportunity for Hamill, who has only just recently began his boxing career, to step into a ring with someone like Gallagher

"I have competed in the Dublin Leagues and Dublin Championships coming 2nd in both last year. I am aiming to win both and go onto the nationals this year. I only started to fight about a year ago but have always trained in some sort of fighting after I got the love of boxing from my dad and my older brother, who is also fighting on this Cage Legacy card."

This will be Gallagher's first time stepping into the ring following the first loss of his career coming at the hands of Ricky Bandejas at Bellator 204.

Féileacain.ie charity being supported by James Gallagher vs. Will Hamill and Cage Legacy 10 will happen at the Good Council GAA club in Dublin on December 1.

Gavin Kelly accepts a fight at Cage Warriors 99

It was announced yesterday by the promotion that Next Gen NI's Gaven 'Heamy' Kelly (7-5) will be in action in just over a week at Cage Warriors 99 on November 17 and his opponent will be England's Cory Tait (8-4).

Both men enter this contest having both lost their past two fights respectively. Kelly rejoined Cage Warriors off the back of a 4-1 run outside the promotion but suffered back-to-back TKO losses in the promotion.

This will be Tait's first fight in over two years. He lost to Finnish veteran Toni Tauru at Cage Warriors 72 before trying his hand in America where he suffered a decision loss in the Titan FC promotion.

It should be a closely contested fight as Kelly and Tait have the ability to end the fight with submissions or a TKO and both men have decision wins on their resume also.

SBG's Blaine O'Driscoll will challenge for the flyweight title in the Cage Warriors 99 main event.

Ayo Daly in action at Cage Warriors Academy NW

Ayo Daly in action at Cage Warriors Academy NW

It was announced yesterday that Irish welterweight Ayo Daly (1-1) will be in action at Cage Warriors Academy Northwest in Liverpool on December 1 against undefeated Welsh fighter Bobby 'The Body Snatcher' Pallett (3-0).

Daly, who is currently based in Malta, was last in action this past June at Centurian Fight Championship 3. The Team Ryano fighter took control of that fight against the debuting Krasimir Tolupov and while he reigned down elbows the referee made a very questionable call in saying they were illegal strikes and then Tolupov then laid on the canvas for a number of minutes. The fight was then ruled a no-contest.

It was Daly's first fight in over three years. Prior to that Daly was one of the top amateurs to come up through the ranks in Ireland and had wins over the likes of Kiefer Crosbie, Keith McCabe, and Paul Lawrence.

He won his pro debut in early 2015 and then in just his second fight he took on Martin van Staden, a fighter with over twenty professional fights at the time and someone who had experience against some of the top level fighters. The fight against van Staden did not go his way and afterwards Daly went on a sobatical from the sport.

His opponent on December 1, Bobby Pallett, is a talented fighter from Wales who has won all three of his fights since turning professional in 2017. He holds a win over Cork's Dillon Manning.

D'Ambrosio will be easily Crosbie's most experienced opponent to date. The Italian has competed in promotions around Europe, including two fights in Cage Warriors, and has some decent wins over reputable fighters. The 23-year-old is a very well rounded fighter and has wins by TKO, submission and decision.
