Caged Thai is set to return to these shores in the New Year when Cage Kings comes to the Neptune Stadium in Cork on February 19th.
Promoter Martin Hogan announced the news recently along with a hotly anticipated rematch between James O'Connell and Karl Hodgers, the first ending with Hodgers winning by KO, a fight said to be the first of many quality match-ups for the card.
"They meet again," said Horgan on Facebook. "Karl Hodgers will defend his Cage Kings Title which he won in devastating fashion last March catching James with a solid punch and dropping him to canvas. James O'Connell suffered a heavy loss to which he says 'every dog has his day!'
"This is the first of some big domestic Cage King Title matches and International Super Muay Thai fights."
Speaking directly to Horgan he said that the event will consist of Muay Thai in MMA style gloves as well as in regular gloves in A, B & C classes. He also teased that the newly crowned world champ Ryan Sheehan will take part in a big international fight.
