Former MMA fighter turned entrepreneur turned actor Cathal Pendred is returning to Hollywood to play a small role in upcoming action movie Black Water starring legends Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.
The 29-year-old tweeted the following yesterday:
Pendred's credits include roles on TV shows Ray Donovan and Ripper Street and has a total of 6 acting credits to his name on IMDB.
The synopsis of Black Water on IMDB reads: A deep cover operative awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine.
JCVD and Lundgren are true action movie icons. Between them they have appeared in such movie franchises as Rocky, The Expendables and Universal Soldier and JCVD has himself inspired a whole generation of mixed martial artists with his Kickboxer and Bloodsport movies.
The movie also features Patrick Kilpatrick (Minority Report, Eraser), Al Sapienza (Sopranos) and JCVD's son Kris Van Damme.
Black Water is scheduled for a 2018 release.
