On Saturday night in Wales Charlie Ward (3-1) stepped back into the cage to compete for the first time since he fought Joao Carvalho on April 9th, a fight which ultimately lead to the tragic passing of the Portuguese fighter.
This time he faced Gareth Williams (4-4) in the co-main event of the Adrenalin Fight Night show. Williams had been out of action since 2012 and is 1-3 in his past four fights according to Tapology.com.
Ward walked away with a decision win, as confirmed by one of his teammates, and now boasts a three-fight-win-streak stemming. His only loss was his debut fight against the much more experienced John Phillips (pictured top left) who is now actually a teammate of Ward.
Adrenalin Fight Night promoter James Wallis described the Ward vs. Williams fight simply as "WOW" and offered a round of applause to both fighters in that contest.
