K-1: Paul Norton wins ISKA Intercontinental title

Dublin's Paul Norton won the ISKA Intercontinental pro strap at Warrior FC VI in his hometown on Saturday night.

The Champion Muay Thai Gym fighter scored a first round TKO victory over Spain's Ivan Nino in the main event of the night. Norton's leg kicks were just too much for the Spanish fighter as he crumbled towards the end of the round.

He took to facebook after the fight to applaud Nino for stepping up on late notice and thanked his team.

Thanks everyone who made my fight happen last night, Ivan Niño who took the fight on short notice after a pullout. Big thanks to Paddy Clint, Carl Hand,Ferial Felix Ameeroedien, Mark Casserly, Gary Ormond, Tomas Satas, Iska Owen Ireland, Champion Gym and everyone in it for all the training and behind the scenes of the fight. Thanks to my family (home and abroad) and friends who put up with all the training and diets. Especially Felix for the last week of cutting.
