Over the weekend the UFC officially announced that the highly anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will take place at UFC 202 in Las Vegas on August 20th.
The fight was originally set to take place as the headliner for UFC 200 next month but the relationship between McGregor and the UFC was strained when he refused to show up for media obligations. As a result he was pulled from the card.
Now it seems any issues have been mended recently and all parties are happy with the outcome.
Nate Diaz shocked the world when he stepped in on late notice and beat McGregor at UFC 196 this past March.
The rematch will still take place at 170 lbs (which is welterweight) and Conor McGregor's featherweight championship will not be on the line.
