Andy Young vs. Dominic Wooding title fight set for BAMMA 28 co-main

Another of Next Gen NI's top fighters has just received top billing on the upcoming BAMMA 28 card in Belfast's SSE Arena.

Firstly Norman Parke was announced as headliner and now today, as revealed by the fighter himself, Andy Young will serve as the co-main event.

Young (10-8) is fresh off a big win in the Ukraine where he defeated the previously undefeated Alexander Barabash via TKO to capture a major title. In the fight before he competed in a thrilling contest with Rany Saadeh that went the distance, unfortunately the decision did not go his way.

The flyweight is on a 4-1 run with all the fights being for titles in well-respected European promotions. Now he looks to add a BAMMA title to his resume when he faces top undefeated youngster Dominic Wooding (3-0) and had the following to say via his Facebook page:

"It's official, I will be fighting in Belfast in the Co-Main event at the SSE arena for the BAMMA flyweight interim WORLD TITLE!

Apparently everyone is scared to fight this guy, and he thought it would be a good idea to call me out...well bring it on and let's see what you got. I just hope he comes to fight!

I'm so grateful to be able to do what I love and have the opportunity to perform in front of my home town and I promise I will put on a show and my greatest performance! Time to collect my second World title!"
