Cathal Pendred is coming out of retirement and will compete at Cage Ring Championship 3 this weekend at the Airside Arena in Swords. The UFC veteran won't be slipping back on the MMA goves however as this contest will be a special ADCC style grappling match.
CRC said the following via their Facebook Page about Pendred competing at CRC 3:
"This UFC veteran is known for his skill, toughness and unbelievable willpower to find a victory in any circumstance. Cathal is always in shape and ready to fight, and everyone at CRC is buzzing for this incredible athlete to make his cage ring debut!"
His opponent will be Sebastian Kozok from Ferocity MMA, who is also an experienced MMA competitor. This brown belt spoke to us of his excitement in facing Pendred on December 11th.
"I feel great as always! I am competing and training in all over world. Im in love with BJJ and I always look to finish my matches ASAP. I'm always glad to challenge myself against the best in the business and Cathal Pendred will certainly provide a big challenge."
CRC 3 will provide an evening of quality K-1, amateur MMA and grappling matches, all in the special cage-ring. Tickets for the event are €30 and can be bought from FanaticShop.ie. Doors on the night open at 5pm.
