Cork's Darren O'Gorman (4-2) last week accepted a late notice fight and will compete this Saturday in London at Cage Warriors 84 against Bryan Creighton (5-4). Despite stepping in on under two weeks notice O'Gorman says he is more than prepared.
"I accepted this fight because I love to compete and I want to get back in there. It's also an awesome card to be on. There are a lot of pull outs happening to people so why pass up the opportunity when it's on my doorstep", said O'Gorman.
"I'm in shape and I feel I'm prepared. It will be a tough fight but I believe I've got the skills to get the business done."
Currently training out of London, O'Gorman will be looking to regain his form and get back to winning ways. After starting off as a pro on a 3-0 run he has since gone 1-2, with a loss to Blaine O'Driscoll in his last fight in March at Cage Warriors 81.
Creighton enters this contest on a three fight skid stretching back to 2014. The majority of his wins have come via submission making him a very tricky opponent on the ground.
All four of O'Gorman's wins have come via submission, three in the first round, so this may very well be the battle of the grapplers.
