This past weekend was a successful one for Irish pros in England as Cork's Dylan Sheehan (2-2) and Northern Ireland's James McErlean (7-3) both walked away with wins.
Sheehan was in action at BCMMA 17 and scored his second pro win and his first after taking a year long break. He defeated Michael Jones (0-2) via TKO half way through the first round, recording his first stoppage win as a pro.
In Manchester James McErlean capped off an outstanding 2016 when he submitted the previously undefeated Sam Spencer (4-0) at Tanko FC 2. The EFR fighter has went 4-0 this year registering wins over the likes of a much bigger Dec Larkin, a talented prospect in Niall Smith and the undefeated Daryl Golding.
With those four wins McErlean would certainly be up for Irish MMA fighter of the year.
