SBG's light heavyweight prospect Cian Erraught (0-1) was in action earlier tonight in South Africa as he faced Chad Hanekom (2-0) at EFC 50 in Sun City.
It was a long way to travel for the Irishman for his pro debut but he didn't get the result he wanted as he tapped to a rear-naked choke in the second round.
Hanekom had the home advantage and clearly the crowd was behind him in the beginning as he scored a takedown in the first round. It was physical first round as both men were cut during exchanges and Hanekom landed an illegal knee but the ref allowed Erraught time to recover.
In the second round Hanekom gained control on the ground, landed some elbows and got back control before sinking in the rear-naked choke to get the win.
That is two wins from two, both submissions, for Hanekom and he threw out a little reminder in the post fight interview that his team are undefeated against Erraught's team of SBG.
"He pushed me, but he couldn't push me far enough. That is FFM (Fight Fight Militia) - 2, SBGi - 0."
FFM's Igeu Kabesa had defeated Peter Queally at EFC 40 last June.
