Top Irish Muay Thai fighter James O'Connell was recently scheduled to rematch rival Karl Hodgers at Cage Kings next month however the fight was put on hold as Hodgers withdrew due to training issues.
Things happen for a reason they say and it was revealed yesterday that O'Connell will travel to Watford next month to take on Jonathan Haggerty in what is arguably his biggest fight to date.
This bout pits the ISKA European Featherweight Champion (O'Connell) against the ISKA World Featherweight Champion (Haggerty) for the ROAR World Title.
We contacted O'Connell for his thoughts on the upcoming fight and in typical 'Joke' fashion he had the following to say:
"ISKA European Champion vs. ISKA World Champion! It's simple, this is WAR for bragging rights!!!!!"
The fight goes down February 11th at the Watford Colosseum, England.
