Brad Pickett's retirement fight next week in London hit a bit of a speed bump in the past 24hrs as his opponent Henry Briones withdrew from the contest.
A fan tweeted at Ireland's Neil Seery asking if he would like to face Pickett and he replied: "Haven't been training much but I'll still make 136 and come to fight."
Seery of course made his UFC debut as a late replacement against Pickett in 2014 at UFC Fight Night 37. The fight went the distance with the Irishman arguably getting the better of the exchanges on the feet forcing Pickett to reassess his gameplan and opt for the wrestling route. As a result he was awarded the decision but the underdog Seery gained a lot of fans with this performance.
The UFC might not opt for this fight as Pickett said via twitter about the possible fight with Seery: "I am more than game but think they have someone in mind."
