Richie Smullen (3-0) scored the first TKO win of his young professional career in Liverpool on Saturday night. The 25-year-old defeated AVT's Jonny Saville (1-1) in the first round of their co-main event fight at Shinobi War 10.
With this win the SBG fighter grows his pro record to three wins, all via stoppage. Having joined the pro ranks just seven months ago, Smullen is quickly proving himself as one of Irish MMA's top prospects.
Four other amateur Irish MMA fighters were also in action on the card. Unfortunately SBG's John Byrne and Belfast Martial Arts' Patrick McNally and Ciaran Mullholland were all on the losing end in their respective title fights. However, SBG's Sean Keogan secured a first round TKO win in his bout earlier on the night.
