Irish MMA veteran John Redmond (6-11) scored his first victory since 2013 on Friday night when he KO'd Modestas Bukauskas (4-2) early in round one at Cage Warriors 77. It was his first TKO finish since a 2010 win over Tim McCrory.
Redmond had lost his previous four fights and accepted this one on short notice just days ago. He announced the fight while filming scenes on the Vikings set where he is an extra.
Bukauskas turned pro just last year and went 4-1 with his only loss coming to the Pavel Doreftei who had an impressive 15-4 record.
Redmond is scheduled to face Glenn Irvine at BAMMA in September and then American Rolando Dominique at Cage Legacy in October. Perhaps this could spark a return to form for the 'Baby Faced Assasin'.
