Irish MMA veteran Michael Doyle (12-4) will return to cage for the first time since his win over Artem Lobov at Clan Wars 19 in 2014. That night Doyle scored a unanimous decision win and defended the Clan Wars lightweight title.
Prior to this Doyle had established himself as one of the best fighters in the country with a number of national title wins and a resumé that boasted victories over the likes of Hugh Brady, Dec Larkin and Ronan McKay. However injuries and other commitments got in the way and kept him on the sidelines until now.
Clan Wars recently announced that Doyle is coming back and not only defending his title but also going for the welterweight championship in a double title fight in the main event of Clan Wars 33 against The Netherlands' Hubert Geven (13-3) on November 17 at the iconic Ulster Hall in Belfast.
Promotion officials confirmed that the fight will be contested at at catchweight of 73kg.
