The first On Top event of 2017 took place on Saturday night in Paisley, Scotland and, as usual, the promotion had some Irish talent on the card.
First up the exciting Jay Ar Campos notched up another stoppage win for his record when he submitted local boy Matthew Mullen with a triangle choke in the second round.
Unfortunately his teammate Hugh Gleeson wasn't as successful. The Dublin based fighter came up agonizingly short in his title fight against Sean McInally as he was on the wrong end of a split decision.
Regardless of results both Campos and Gleeson remain on the path of being two very promising fighters who could be turning pro in the near future. Things are looking bright for the Kokoro gym.
