Neil Ward gets a first round KO win at UKFC 4

It was a quick night for Neil Ward (3-3) last night at UK Fighting Championship 4 in Preston, England. The Rush FA fighter needed just 24 seconds to finish Carl Burton (2-1) with a knee in the main event.

The bantamweight was on a 1-3 run, albeit against tough opposition and has never been stopped in the distance. This victory marks his first finish since his pro debut a little over three years ago and he will now look to build upon this impressive victory.

It was also a successful night at UKFC 4 for amateur Irish MMA fighters as they posted a 3-1 winning rate on the night.

Here are the results:

Jack Maguire (BJJ Cork) def. Connor Hitchens via unanimous decision

Martin Chester def. John Mitchell (BJJ Cork) via sub (guillotine), round 2.

Danni Neilan (SBG) def. Megan Morris via TKO, round 2.

Jack Monohan (BJJ Cork) def. Sean Watson via majority decision.
