This morning BAMMA announced a major shake-up to their Dublin card on September 10th by revealing that Peter Queally (8-2) will face Joe McColgan (1-0).
McColgan was originally schedule to face Kiefer Crosbie, a fight that had been brewing for a while, but we assume he had to withdraw through injury.
Queally, who is over in Vegas as a part of Conor McGregor's camp, was recently nearly added to UFC 202 this weekend only for a VISA issue agonisingly not allowing him clearance in time.
Now it seems 'The Showstopper' just wants to fight. He already has a fight scheduled against Eldar Eldarov (6-1) in Bahrain on September 23rd. A couple of wins in September might be just his ticket to get into the UFC.
McColgan, formerly known as 'The SBG Hunter', will be looking to spoil Queally's plans and make a name for himself. A win over an experienced and internationally well-known pro would boost McColgan's stock through the roof. A big opportunity for the FAI fighter.
