Ireland's Cian Cowley was in action yesterday during the opening day of the IMMAF World Championships in Las Vegas. The SBG fighter was making just his second outing as an MMA fighter.
He made a splash in the competition and defeated Spain's Alex Garcia via KO during the opening moments of round 2. Garcia went for a takedown and ended up face-planting on the canvas after Cowley landed an uppercut.
Cowley is in action later again today against Garcia's teammate Alvaro Gomez to get into the quarter-finals.
