Ciaran Daly (0-1) was once touted as one of the top prospects in Irish MMA after a stellar amateur career. So his pro debut was highly anticipated.
However, at Cage Kings 2, almost two year ago, Daly was on the losing end of a decision to current UFC fighter Charlie Ward. The Corkman hasn't fought since and now currently resides in Australia.
News broke yesterday that Daly will return at Hex Fight Series 9 in Melbourne on June 23rd and his opponent will be Aussie William Daddow (1-0), who made his debut just over a year ago with a first round TKO win over fellow debutant Ben Cromack.
Daly is currently training out of the Adrenaline MMA gym in Melbourne so he can expect to have a good crowd behind him when he steps into the cage.
"The return will be powerful...." Daly simply said on facebook about the event.
