Kevin Iole from Yahoo Sports confirmed the new last night that Dillon Danis has signed with Bellator, ending months of speculation of where the grappling ace would end up.
Danis, who is very well known in the grappling world, has almost became a household name when he started working with McGregor last year for the Diaz rematch. Following months of working with and being part of McGregor's camp he made it known that he wanted to enter the MMA arena.
“I want to fight the best, just like Conor does,” Danis told Yahoo Sports. “We’re different people, though we’re very like-minded. We set high goals and we aren’t afraid to try to achieve. I feel he’s the best ever, in my opinion, and so if people want to compare us, well, how could it be bad if you’re a basketball player to be compared to Michael Jordan? That’s essentially what people would be saying if they compare us."
No word yet as to when he will make his Bellator and MMA debut.
