Next Gen NI's Glenn Irvine (1-2) will challenge for the Caged Steel Fight Championships middleweight title this July when he takes on the returning champ Marcin Prostko (4-3).
Irvine had a rocky start to his pro career after losing to two veterans of the Irish MMA scene in John Redmond and Keith McCabe back to back under the BAMMA banner. However, in March Irvine competed at CSFC 17 and scored a first round KO win over Rob Fulton (watch here).
That victory earned Irvine a crack at the promotions middleweight title. He will challenge Marcin Prostko. The Polish fighter returned to the promotion after short stints in the likes of BAMMA and ACB.
Prostko turned pro in 2014 and went on a 4-0 run, including winning three fights in the CSFC promotion, his most notable win coming over 60+ fight journeyman Shaun Lomas. He has since lost three straight though, two via submission.
The fight will take place July 15th from the Doncaster Dome in England.
