UFC veteran and TUF: Smashes winner Norman Parke (23-5-1) has revealed, via Facebook, that he has signed a contract to fight on the upcoming monumental KSW Colosseum show on May 27th in Poland. This event will take place in the national stadium in Warsaw and there is an expected attendance of 50,000+ people, making it the biggest MMA event ever in Europe, and one of the biggest MMA events ever.
Parke is rumoured to face undefeated KSW lightweight champion Mateusz 'Gamer' Gamrot (12-0) and after a number of social media posts from the Northern Irish fighter about Gamrot we can almost 100% assume that is who will be facing.
The 29-year-old went 5-3-1 in the UFC before getting released early last year. Since then he is 2-0 with wins over the tricky Andrew Fisher and fellow UFC veteran Paul Redmond.
Gamrot burst onto the scene in 2012, the year Parke made his UFC debut, and has notched up notable victories over the likes of Andre Winner, Mansour Barnaoui, Tim Newman and the previously undefeated Marif Piraev, to name just a few. The 26-year-old is incredibly well-rounded and has proven to be able to finish fights with strikes, submissions and getting unanimous decisions.
The fight is not official however as the promotion hasn't announced it but previous interviews from KSW chiefs suggested that they were just waiting to come to an agreement with Parke, and with this signing it looks like that this is it.
